Thanks for answering my questions! I really enjoyed the answer on adoption. My desire to adopt is partially selfish, not being able to have a large family. But I was also afraid that wanting lots of kids for farm labor and possibly community building would be an unacceptable reason! We will probably never adopt due to the onerous rules surrounding adoption, especially CA rules. If and when the world should fall apart I suspect we will be up to our eyeballs in children so I can always hope. I would imagine at 43 I won't have any more children and ultimately that is up to the Lord. I believe you also answered a question that I emailed but you did not specifically address in the podcast, and if you did, I thank you for that. I have more questions, as always and will send an email.

I think the rule that you're never allowed to be alone with a person of the opposite sex who is not your spouse is a proper and a good rule. But can you please clarify it a bit more. What about sons and mothers, father and daughters who are adults? Or grandparents?
