Podcast #4 is up and Ready!
2/01/10 - 2nd Day - Morning. Greetings y'all. Howdy. The 4th podcast is up and available for download. As of this writing it was not on iTunes yet, but it should be pretty soon.
Bunker Mentality
This is the new podcast of Christian Agrarian writer, historian, and preacher Michael Bunker.
Thanks again for another informative podcast. First, I wanted to know if you were planning at some point to do a rant on the podcast. I think that it would not only hilarious but also informative.
Second, I wanted to address the question about evolution and my presuppositions behind it. I believe that the Bible is the final authority on everything that can be known. Since about 60 percent of scientists are atheist I know that I can't trusts every bit of information that they put out because they have presuppositions in which they exclude contrary edidence. So the point you made about the angel of darkness making himself to be an angel of light was helpful, because all of our senses would tell us to trust him but the Bible would have us try these spirits and do so with It as the final authority. Since I don't see myself ever wearing a lab coat looking through the microscope, I know that I have to read the witness of these people that do the tests and arrive at these conclusions. Is it possible to use science in this way to an effective end for apologetics; and is it possible to argue against evolution when these scientists give false evidence based on their presuppositions?
Thank you for all the answers. The show is really good and I think everybody likes to listen to it. I haven't gotten around to read A. Custance but I bookmarked the page with the article concerning resurrection. Are you going to continue doing the Q&A Fridays since this is basically that only in audio?
Who am I to tell but wouldn't Q&A Fridays podcast be an appropriate name. I find all three name proposals well, too artistic or something, let me tell you why: In a Mile, with Michael Bunker (just because its the name of a song, it's convenient, but then again you might grow tired of a worldly song in a month or so and decide to change it) The Michael Bunker Iconoclast Podcast (probably the best out of the three but then again Iconoclast is unnecessary word put against the name of Michael Bunker. Its like calling it MB Christian Podcast. The Michael Bunker radio/audio/podcast thinggy (its just silly, and it doesn't do it justice, makes it sound unimportant and I really don't think you think your projects are silly, and I think people like the efficiency of the show, and answering questions is important. Writing answers takes a lot of time, and like Mihai said its the closest thing to talking to you in person. So it's good. (It would be better that it didn't have a name than to be called like that) Well, that's my input. I do pray for you and your family, and David and his wife and all the brethren there. I'll send you in some questions.
On the subject of Hell. I found out recently that Jehovah's Witnesses and Christadelphians do not believe in Hell. JWs think everyone dies and there's no eternity, except for the 144,000 who get rewarded with eternity on the new earth. Do you have a deal clincher to show JWs the error of their beliefs? Or do you just pray that the Holy Spirit will convict them? I'd like help to reach a JW colleague.
Hi Michael, My husband and I are seeking to live the agrarian life a little west of Ft. Worth. We've been researching wood stoves for a while, and in searching for customer experiences with the MBS-9 stove, I found the post you had written about it. I was wondering if after installing the stove you thought it a good one. It appears to be the most economical option for us. Do you find the oven area large enough? Is it large enough to fit a few loaves of bead or a pizza pan? Is the small firebox inconvenient? Does it heat the house well? Any other tips or comments would be appreciated. Also, tips on keeping the house cool while using the stove in summer would be appreciated, if you have any.
I am no expert in talking to cultists about how Christianity and their religion differs. On the other hand, I have at least 3 different cults represented on my side of the family, so I have had the opportunity to discuss these things from time to time.
The key is getting down to the bottom line: who is Jesus? JW's and Mormons get a lot of training in answering Christian objections. Most Christians do not get training in speaking to the cultists. If you maintain a tight focus on who Jesus is, what he did, and why, it will be a more fruitful conversation.
Thank you for taking the time to record these podcasts. Since you asked for feedback, the vanilla "Michael Bunker Podcast" may not be "catchy" but it might make it much easier for someone trying to find it online.
Michael thank you for this podcast. I really appreciated the topic of suicide. I never really thought about what really goes on in the minds of those who want to murder themselves. I have had a few people I knew who did kill themselves. Again thankyou. Debylin

I think it should be the "Iconoclast-Cast"...., because "podcast" is so status quo.

Thanks for the podcast Michael. Very informative and a learning curve. Maybe i am a bit late in voting but "in a mile" sounds good.
